FYI: At this year's Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) annual meeting, held in Detroit on February 2, the Ferndale Public Library expansion and renovation project was awarded an Honorable Mention in their "Green Project of the Year"
award category. There were just five other projects given this award in the state. The new Ferndale Library is anticipated to achieve LEED Gold-Level certification from the Green Building Council, a national organization.
